When you think of traditional wedding gifts for a groom, what comes to mind? Socks? Cufflinks? Tie-clips?
Let me paint a different picture for you. ;)
Your groom wakes up the morning of your wedding day, knowing he’s not going to be seeing you until either your first look, or the moment you walk down the aisle towards him. He is prepared to spend the morning with his guys, just goofing off and getting ready for the biggest day of his life.
He sends his wedding gift to you with your maid of honor, and you read his sweet card with tear-filled eyes. He knows he may be getting something from you too (let’s face it though…he’s getting YOU..soooo….what could be better? ;)), but man…he has NO CLUE what you have up your sleeves. He has no clue that months before your big day, you took a day for yourself to relax, get pampered, and then slip into sexy lingerie as a gift for your soon-to-be-hubby. He has no idea how excited you’ve been, and how hard it’s been holding this amazing secret in without spilling the beans!
You hand your maid of honor a beautiful box with an elegant ribbon tied around it. She has clear instructions to kick anyone out of the room who isn’t a photographer or videographer. Meanwhile, he’s wondering “why is everyone being kicked out?” Then he opens this gorgeous box, finds a beautiful album inside, and turns to page 1.
Just close your eyes for a second and imagine his reaction. Imagine his cheeks going as red as can be, and the excitement he feels knowing that this beautiful woman in his very own Little Black Book is about to marry HIM. HE is about to be the luckiest guy in the world, because YOU said “yes,” and you gave him an amazingly thoughtful gift for your big day.
How incredible does this sound?! I absolutely love working with brides on their bridal boudoir sessions, and their grooms all LOVE their gift. I mean…what is not to love?!
