Life's Celebration | Orlando Boudoir Photographer
Tell us your story, a little bit about you and what led you to do a boudoir session?
I am 38 and have always wanted to do a boudoir shoot. I am divorced and did not do them for my ex husband or any significant other and the time never seemed right. A little over 2 years ago, I was Baker Acted for a manic episode and was in a mental health facility for 7 days. I had been in therapy for years for anxiety, depression and P.T.S.D., but after this episode I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1. Even my mental health team did not see it in me, because I kept everything in the dark. After, spending lots of hard work on getting my mental health into a stable place, I wanted to celebrate that. Celebrate my life. Celebrate that I'm going to be okay, even when things are not okay. When I saw my friends doing shoots with Sivan, I knew this was the time to do it. I wasn't happy with my outside body, but I was so proud of my inside. And that showed in the photos and gave me a new appreciation for my physical body.
Any advice you'd like to give your fellow Lovelies on doing a session and how it could be helpful?
Be yourself, celebrate you, do it for you. Yes, it can be a wonderful gift for a significant other, but celebrate you. Also, you will probably want to cancel your appointment...don't do it. Push through. You will feel at ease in that make up chair and feel like the gorgeous goddess that you are in the studio. Don't stress out over what to wear...sheets are a beautiful thing. And I don't even really pay attention to the outfits I was wearing in my outfits, I look at the confidence in my eyes and my body. Bring things that you love and that make you feel sexy and strong!
