Travel Far Enough to Find Yourself | Orlando Boudoir Photography
Nothing stops our clients from investing in themselves for their boudoir session. Not even 1,300 miles! The Lovely S. decided distance didn’t matter, and chose to travel to find herself again!
What made you book a boudoir session?
I had wanted to do one 5 years ago before my wedding but it just never worked out. I happened to come across Sivan's photography and couldn't believe how stunning every single photo was! And seeing the before and after photos and stories just sealed it for me... these were regular women just like me! Going into it I said it was a 5th anniversary gift for my husband....now I think there was a small part of me that also needed it!
How did you feel coming into the studio?
It was nerve wracking and exciting...and a bit terrifying! Flying in from New Hampshire meant I had to pack all of my lingerie and I was only bringing a carry on! I was praying that they wouldn't have to go through my bag at airport security... that would have been pretty embarrassing! The worst of the nerves were as I was driving there and then walking up to the studio. But then, once there and in the chair getting my hair and makeup done, those nerves started to settle. And as Sivan pulled everything out and hung it up, conversation began to flow easily. By the time hair and makeup were done, I had all but forgotten the nerves and was getting more excited to see and experience the magic that Sivan creates!
How did you feel during your session (specifically once you saw your photos on the back of camera)?
During the session I was surprised at how comfortable I felt! I have to laugh when I think that while in the skimpiest of outfits posing on a bed, we paused and chatted about our kids! When Sivan first turned her camera around and showed me one of the photos.....It look a second to realize that it was ME! What?! How?! Then.... excitement! I might actually LIKE these photos! A small part of me still wondered if I would like them since I rarely like photos of me.
How did you feel after your session?
Excited! Beautiful! Powerful! Sexy even! Maybe even a bit giddy! I couldn't believe that I had just posed for a boudoir shoot! I don't know of anyone in my circles who has done one, and I was thinking how crazy it was that I TRAVELED to get partially naked in front of a camera with strangers!
How do you feel now after seeing your final images?
Oh my goodness, speechless! I keep looking at them and thinking HOW. IS. THAT. ME? Mind blown! I thought I might "like" a few.... but I LOVE so many of them! Choosing for the album was HARD! I want to do another session already!
Anything you'd like to say to other women who are hesitating to do this for XYZ reason?
If you are on the fence... just do it! Even if you don't think you have someone to give them to... do it for YOU! Seriously! You won't regret it! Such an amazing experience! It's made me realize something that I personally (and lets face it, many of us women) can do better...HAVE to be better at! I'm more cognizant of how I speak about and treat myself in front of my daughter. As women we are SO incredibly critical of ourselves, we judge ourselves more harshly than we would think of judging others. What are we teaching the young ladies coming behind us? Sexy isn't always about less clothing (although it can be!) and I'm realizing that it's something that starts on the inside! Our significant others love us and don't see the "flaws" that we do, I know that I need to do a better job of loving ME in that manner. I need to see the good, the beauty, the me that my husband sees... and I need to show our kids how to see their beauty and uniqueness too! This revelation coming from a boudoir session was surprising to me!
