What made you book a boudoir session?
I wanted to see what others saw. With body dysmorphia, I can't see what my boyfriend sees in me. My grandmother told me for years to model because I was naturally beautiful. I just never saw it the way they did but hoped I would through my session.
How did you feel coming into the studio?
I felt very nervous and my mind was racing. Like a thousands tabs open at once. I wanted everything to be perfect but as soon as you greeted me and had me sit down all of that went away once we started discussing who I am and what my vision was with my outfits. I love that you embraced everything I said.
How did you feel during your session (specifically once you saw your photos on the back of camera)?
I just couldn't believe that I was in the photograph. As I am typing this now I am starting to tear up thinking about it. Just beyond grateful to be able to provide this experience for myself and feel so happy doing it.
How did you feel after your session?
I felt so strong and a little sore ;). I felt like I could rock the outfits I wore int he shoot out of the shoot and in front on my boyfriend which he definitely enjoyed!
How do you feel now after seeing your final images?
I think my firsts words were, “I am a model”. I sent the one picture with my eye covered by my arm to almost anyone I could think of. I used that photo in a reel about being a woman and that I am sexy! The pictures just really helped me see myself in a different way. They made me see myself pass a mirror or reflection.
Anything you'd like to say to other women who are hesitating to do this for XYZ reason?
Well I have told everyone I know to do it already. I tell them they need to lol. I know for most it's a lot to spend on yourself but you need to just do it. Set some money aside and do it. You will look at those picture for years to come. The day will replay in your head like your wedding day. A day about you, to remind yourself how fierce and sexy you can be. Also only go to Sivan because she is the best! and the only person I will do this again with in the future no matter how far I am lol.
