What made you book a boudoir session?
The first session I booked for my wedding, but the second session, I booked for myself. Going through a challenging emotional and physical journey, I wanted to celebrate my birthday and feel good. I loved my first session and the empowerment of women, being yourself, and feeling beautiful as yourself, along with having such a great time—a fun and safe place to let loose with a wonderful photographer.
How did you feel coming into the studio?
It was easy and so warm and inviting. It's tucked away but in such a lovely building for a photography studio. The moment you walk in, the type of music you enjoy is playing, and it has such a wonderful open feel to it.
How did you feel during your session (specifically once you saw your photos on the back of camera)?
I felt at ease during my session. I'm naturally a shy and introverted person who doesn't like attention on myself. But, I open up when it's a small amount of people and if I'm comfortable. Sivan makes you feel so comfortable that I could chat with her for hours. She already knows a bit about you before you get there, which makes it so easy to feel at ease.
How did you feel after your session?
Amazing and ready to conquer the world. Also, still so beautiful in makeup.
How do you feel now after seeing your final images?
I could have cried. I'm naturally a more modest, quirky person. I'm eclectic. Sivan captured everything I wanted. I felt beautiful, myself, and empowered. And that my style can translate into amazing photos!
Anything you'd like to say to other women who are hesitating to do this for XYZ reason?
Do not hesitate. If you're hesitant because you're more modest, Sivan embraces that. If you're hesitant because of culture or profession, Sivan can adjust as you need and it will be amazing. If it’s the word boudoir, let Sivan show you the word has a beautiful meaning and maybe not what you think or have been told. If it's yourself, let Sivan show you how beautiful you are. So, don't hold back, go for it. Set yourself free and have a blast!
