The Fabulous Fifties | Orlando Boudoir Photographer

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and what led you to do a boudoir session?

In January of this year I finally turned fifty.  Since late in my forty-eighth year, I had been planning a huge fiftieth birthday party in Las Vegas. It was a fabulous weekend and I was lucky enough to have 32 of my friends fly in for the event. I really wanted to embrace and take in my entire fiftieth year...all of 2019. I wanted to force myself outside of my comfort zone so I booked my boudoir for late 2019 and ran with it. I hired a personal trainer at my gym and spent all year working out with him and spent as much time as I could really taking care of myself. Facials, massage, Pilates, long walks on the beach. While I was not where I wanted to be physically, on the day of my boudoir session I was there and ready mentally. It was important for me to fulfill this goal and finish celebrating me. I want to look back at these pictures 5, 10, even 20 years from now and remember how great my life was at this time...my fiftieth year! 

Any advice you'd like to give your fellow Lovelies on doing a session and how it could be helpful? 

Boudoir photography is for everyone...including me and you!  I tried to talk myself  out of this every week for almost a year. Just do it! Sivan is wonderful and I felt relaxed and had fun. My pictures were proof of that. I couldn’t be happier. 

Wear what you feel comfortable in. My cutest pics were in my husband’s raggedy Harley Davidson T-shirt and my favorite cotton pajamas. 

Share your images. Be proud. Own it. When you get your images back, show them to someone, show them to everyone. I immediately shared my images with my sister. I cannot wait to share them with my husband, that will be at Christmas. I also made my most innocent picture from the shoot, my profile picture on social media…I was so proud and happy to see the comments and likes from so many friends…100’s of friends.
